Kaye

DESIGNER

Kaye has been designing kitchens for over 27 years, which means there’s almost nothing she hasn’t seen, solved, or been asked for. She came into the industry after a career in insurance, initially answering the phone at a friend’s showroom and never left. What kept her there was the relationships: the time to genuinely understand what someone needs and the satisfaction of delivering a kitchen that works for how they actually live.

She has a rare ability to hear what people mean, not just what they say. Clients often come in knowing something needs to change but struggling to articulate how. Kaye bridges that gap, with patience, knowledge, humour and without making anyone feel rushed.

Outside of work, she enjoys live music, socialising and spending time with her grandchildren.

Jane

ADMIN & ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Jane brings over 17 years of kitchen showroom experience alongside a long prior career in banking. She came into the industry almost by chance, initially brought in to create the systems and procedures that would help a showroom run properly and has been doing exactly that ever since.

She’s the reason things happen when they’re supposed to. When a delivery needs chasing, a timeline needs updating, or a supplier needs a clear brief, Jane handles it. Clients often don’t see this work directly, but they feel the difference it makes to a project that runs smoothly.

Away from work, Jane is a dedicated gardener with formal horticultural qualifications, and a committed animal lover, regularly dog and cat sitting for friends and family.

Sotiris

CO-FOUNDER & INSTALLATION LEAD

Sotiris grew up working with natural stone, marble, granite, limestone and brought that expertise to the UK in 2007. Before co-founding Old Bank Kitchens he worked on some significant projects, including the refurbishment of the Panathinaikos Stadium ahead of the 2004 Olympics and later managed installations for Bathstore across the UK.

That background in high-quality materials and complex installation is what he brings to every project. He leads the installation side of the business and is the reason the finished kitchen matches the design, not just in appearance, but in the details that only someone with twenty-plus years of hands-on experience would know to care about.

He co-founded Old Bank Kitchens alongside Jack in 2023.

Jack

CO-FOUNDER

Jack has been in the kitchen and interiors industry since 2003, and in many ways it found him before he found it. His father was a bathroom fitter, and Jack grew up surrounded by samples, fittings, and an early instinct for quality.

His career moved quickly from sales into sourcing and design. He spent several years importing distinctive stonework, hardware, and cabinetry from Italy, developing a precise sense of what makes a material genuinely special. In 2011 he took over the running of a kitchen showroom in Brighton, spending a decade learning what clients in period properties actually need, and gaining a deep understanding of the planning processes that often come with larger renovation projects in the area.

As a keen traveller, Jack tracks what’s happening internationally, in Italy, Scandinavia, and at the design fairs the UK tends to catch up with a few years later. That curiosity shapes the ranges Old Bank Kitchens carries and the suppliers it works with.

He lives in Hove with his wife Emma and their children, and supports several local charities through Martlets FC, the Brighton Marathon and the Meningitis Appeal.

Doria

DESIGN CONSULTANT

Doria trained in interior design at the KLC School of Design and spent years designing kitchens and bathrooms before managing a showroom in Seven Dials, Brighton, before her design consultancy journey with Old Bank Kitchens.

Her particular strength is working with what’s already there. Doria pays close attention to the original character of a space: the proportions, the light, the period details and designs around them rather than over them. The result is kitchens that feel like they belong to the house.

She’s as comfortable working to a tight brief as she is being given creative freedom and brings the same level of care to every project regardless of scale or budget.

Outside the studio, Doria attends life drawing classes, swims in the sea, and works out on Hove Lawns. She has lived in Brighton and Hove for many years.
